For my girls...

When I first started blogging 13 years ago, my goal was to help our friends and family in VA keep up with our adventures and growing family in North Carolina. My girls had long nap times and early bedtimes and  I had a lot of fun sharing all our fun times together and all that we were learning.  After my 4th baby, however, I was exhausted with very little time to write. We were back in VA with our family and friends so it didn't seem as important to keep the blog going.  And then my computer died during a time in our life when money was very tight.  I was without any computer at all for 6 months and just never could quite catch back up on all I had missed.  So I let it go.

But as my girls grew, I watched them spend hours pouring over my old blog books and laughing at funny things they had done or said.  They told me about precious memories I had forgotten.  They begged me to blog again.  It saddened me to think that I had missed several years of blogging and I began to wish I could start again.  This January, my 6th baby finally started going to bed early and I decided to make blogging a priority again.  But it is different this time.  I'm not writing for others to see our family's adventures.  In fact, I'm not even making this blog public.  I am writing and posting pictures to print simply to save our family's history.  So that I can remember all the funny little things my girls said and the sweet times we had together as a family.  And most of all, so that my girls can look back and see how very much we all loved each other.  It is my prayer that they will always be best friends and find our home a safe place to love and be loved unconditionally.  In addition, I'm inviting my girls to help me write this blog! I am so excited to have their help and keep the memories of what they find important to write about! This blog will be much different from my past blogs, but I am certain it will be so much better!  I can't wait to see what God has in store for our family in 2021!
