More Easter Fun

Friday, April 9, 2021 From the desk of Karlie DeLong On Saturday, we went to an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Papa's church. I was too old, so I helped Alyssa. She actually did not need much help, though! They found chocolate bunnies and each got $3 and a gift bag with candy. Mrs. Donna read the Easter story to all of the kids. We left later that day. On Sunday, we went to an outdoor Easter service at our church. The weather was perfect! We got to talk to Mrs. Dotty for the first time in weeks! Then, we went to Nina and Papa's house for the evening and did Easter baskets. Abbi, Susanna, and Alyssa spent two nights there. They cleaned out the playhouse and Abbi plowed the field. Daddy, Karis, and I went on a hike while they were gone. Then, we came up for Papa's birthday on April 6. Karis had made him a beautiful strawberry cake! Karis and I stayed with them for two nights. Easter at Grandma and Papa's House

Friday, April 2, 2021 From the desk of Karlie DeLong Today was a half day at school, so Mommy picked us up and took us to Chick-Fil-A. From there, we went on to Grandma and Papa's house to celebrate Easter. Sadly, Daddy could not come because some people were coming to work on our porch. We did an Easter egg hunt and Grandma and Papa had put quarters in all of them! Then, we came inside and dyed Easter eggs. I mixed a lot of colors for mine. Then, after a little break, we made sugar cookies using Easter cookie cutters. Abbi and Papa played Yahtzee with me. Abbi won because she got a Yahtzee on her second turn! Now, Papa is grilling on his new Blackstone griddle. There will be another post soon on what happens tomorrow and on Easter Sunday. He is risen!
