Delong Sisters Memories

​Friday, January 9  Today is a spirit day at school! We had to dress up as someone from another time! Me and Karlie (and Susanna but she doesn’t count because she’s not in high school) wore poodle skirts. We curled our hair and went as girls from the 1950s. I also wore my tap shoes! Our schedules were different, and we had a game at the end of the day. The game was battleship. 7 people played from each grade. I didn’t because I was taking pictures for the yearbook. 9th grade lost the first game, but we made an amazing comeback and went on to win the next one!! (Because we are amazing!) It was fun, but my feet were hurting by the end of the day. (It turns out tap shoes aren’t that comfortable) But mommy made us cookies for snack so that was nice! Love, Abigail 

​When Mommy said we were going to do a blog, I nearly hyperventilated from excitement! I love being able to record events - the way they TRULY happened! Last night was New Year’s Eve! We had a big feast full of junk food and delicious snacks! We ate until we could eat no more. Then we did our traditional “looking back on this year” sheet. It was a LOT of fun to see what we wrote from past years and to compare our artistic skills. We watched the ball drop (from past years) and this is what Sophia observed: Setting: Mommy told her not to make noise with her “blower” until we watched the ball drop. Sophia (age 5): “Whoever finds the ball gets to make as much noise as they can!”  We all had a great time, and ended the night with videos of the Swedish chef from Muppets. I am so excited for the New Year to come! Love, Abigail
