From the desk of Karlie DeLong


Last Thursday, we went to the Kniowski's house. Melody had gotten a marble run for Christmas and she wanted me to do it with her. It was just Abbi, Susanna, and me. Abbi and Susanna played with Lillian while Melody and I built the marble run. It had really cool parts to it, like catapults, hammers, and volcanoes. We had to get it just right so the marbles would have enough momentum to go up and down the track. It was really neat because we had just talked about Newton's Laws of Motion, The Law of Conservation of Momentum, friction, and other stuff like that in class. We showed it to the other girls and our parents. Mrs. Kniowski took a video of it, but that would not show up in a blog book, so I will not post it. This is a picture of us peeling oranges for snack:

  Saturday, May 1, 2021 From the desk of Karlie DeLong Our friend Emma Gay turned 13 this year, and she invited Karis and I to her party. We were going to go bowling and then go back to her house, but there was a tournament going on, so we just went back for a playdate. The other guests were Zoe Meador, Aubrey Ferguson, and Lilli Farnsworth. We played some games and then got dressed up for a really fancy dinner. Emma's parents dressed up as our waiter and waitress. We pretended that we were in the 1700's. It was so fun!

Random Ice Day

 We had a random winter storm and the girls were able to be out of school!  We forgot to take many pictures, but Karis used the time to re-organize her bookshelves.  Lolli decided that her legs made a nice pillow for a nap!  Abbi and Susanna were the only ones brave enough to try to go sledding on the ice but they had a lot of fun!

9 Poems

  May 29, 2021 Abigail DeLong I wrote nine poems about our pets. Here they are: Poem #1 Lolli and Cupcake were not friends when Lolli had her kittens. I was so happy, I sang a song while I jumped on the trampoline with Karlie and Susanna Delong. Lolli had her kittens, four, But suddenly, she had one more! Lolli has five kittens; they are so cute! They make me want to jump around the house and play a little flute. I am so proud of Lolli. She reminds me of Karis and Karlie! THE END Poem #2 One of the kitten's names is Taffy. Sometimes, she is very snappy. She was the third kitten born, but she cannot blow on a horn. She is a calico kitten, but she hasn't any mittens. Lolli is very proud, because sometimes, Taffy is loud.
