January 1-8
We started off the New Year with lots of family fun! New Year's Eve was amazingly warm and we celebrated by hanging out with Grandma and Papa during the day. We had a yummy lunch from Panara and took a beautiful walk with Grandma and Papa and thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine! That night, we had a fun "snacky" dinner of everyone's favorite things: several different crackers and kinds of cheese, Chex mix, cheese ball, sausage rotel dip, hash brown casserole, chips with cheese, etc. The girls were amazed that I let them eat so much junk food for dinner! We decided to enjoy smores that evening since it was such amazing weather and ended up staying outside for several hours. We even played Sardines in the dark with the whole family! Baby Sophia had fun running around with Mama and trying to hide with sisters. I personally really enjoyed it so much because after being pregnant and then recovering for so long, it was the first time I had really been able to enjoy running around playing with my girls. After we were exhausted, we came inside and had a few treats and sparkling cider while we wrote our yearly "Year in Review" Sheets. It was so fun to read favorites from years past! We laughed at ourselves a lot. We finished our late night by watching photos and videos from the past year.
Here are some pictures from the first week of the new year:
Alyssa was so excited that Cupcake decided to snuggle with her while she looked at picture books:
Beautiful sunset across the street:Some cute pictures that Alyssa took of Sophia playing on the floor:

Oh how I love that smile!
Alyssa loves to crouch over Sophia and let her play with her hair. Sophia usually laughs and squeals!
