My 12th Birthday

From the desk of Karlie DeLong

 Last Saturday, I woke up to cereal for breakfast, and excitement everywhere. Grandma and Papa came in the morning  and brought us lunch (Panera). They took me to Michael's during nap time and got me a sticker gem kit. Later Nina and Papa came and we all had cake for snack. I had made an ice cream cake topped with edible cookie dough. Karis had made Papa Eric a cherry cake. Then, it was time for presents. I got many great gifts including some note cards, some other crafts and Cat-opoly. The next day, my actual birthday, we went to church and then came back and I got presents from Mommy and Daddy. I got a bath pillow, a dictionary set, and a wood-burning kit from Daddy. That night I went to On Deck. When we came home, we watched videos from when I was younger. They were adorable! Both Abbi and Alyssa took pictures.

  Saturday, May 1, 2021 From the desk of Karlie DeLong Our friend Emma Gay turned 13 this year, and she invited Karis and I to her party. We were going to go bowling and then go back to her house, but there was a tournament going on, so we just went back for a playdate. The other guests were Zoe Meador, Aubrey Ferguson, and Lilli Farnsworth. We played some games and then got dressed up for a really fancy dinner. Emma's parents dressed up as our waiter and waitress. We pretended that we were in the 1700's. It was so fun!

Random Ice Day

 We had a random winter storm and the girls were able to be out of school!  We forgot to take many pictures, but Karis used the time to re-organize her bookshelves.  Lolli decided that her legs made a nice pillow for a nap!  Abbi and Susanna were the only ones brave enough to try to go sledding on the ice but they had a lot of fun!

9 Poems

  May 29, 2021 Abigail DeLong I wrote nine poems about our pets. Here they are: Poem #1 Lolli and Cupcake were not friends when Lolli had her kittens. I was so happy, I sang a song while I jumped on the trampoline with Karlie and Susanna Delong. Lolli had her kittens, four, But suddenly, she had one more! Lolli has five kittens; they are so cute! They make me want to jump around the house and play a little flute. I am so proud of Lolli. She reminds me of Karis and Karlie! THE END Poem #2 One of the kitten's names is Taffy. Sometimes, she is very snappy. She was the third kitten born, but she cannot blow on a horn. She is a calico kitten, but she hasn't any mittens. Lolli is very proud, because sometimes, Taffy is loud.
