Another Busy Day

From the desk of Karlie DeLong


Today, I woke up with a runny nose. Yesterday I had a sore throat. Alyssa has a fever today, and she had the same symptoms as me. I did not have a fever, so it was okay for me to do errands with my dad. Abbi, Susanna, Daddy, and I went to the library and then came back to pick up Karis. Grandma and Papa had sent us an edible arrangement because they could not come celebrate Valentine's Day with us. It had lots of chocolate-covered strawberries! We first went to Ollie's to look for a gift for Mommy. We didn't find anything for her, but Karis found two really nice cookbooks for $5.00. Daddy also found a pirate kit for Susanna. Next, we went to Marshall's and we found a picture frame for Sophia with a space for a picture from each month and a bigger picture for when she is one year old. Then, we went to PetCo because it was right next door. They did not have any kittens left. We went to Chipotle to get a meal for Daddy and then went to PetSmart while we were waiting for it. This time there were some kittens and we saw my friend, Ashlyn, who was getting a fish! Then we went to Chick-fil-A to get us a meal. It would have costed about $20.00, but we had gift cards, so we got it for free! Then we got Mommy a salad from Longhorn Steakhouse. While we were gone, Mommy had made pretzels! I loved the ones with cinnamon sugar on them. I am hoping I will feel better tomorrow!

We were going to go bowling and then go back to her house, but there was a tournament going on, so we just went back for a playdate. The other guests were Zoe Meador, Aubrey Ferguson, and Lilli Farnsworth. We played some games and then got dressed up for a really fancy dinner. Emma's parents dressed up as our waiter and waitress. We pretended that we were in the 1700's. It was so fun!

Random Ice Day

 We had a random winter storm and the girls were able to be out of school!  We forgot to take many pictures, but Karis used the time to re-organize her bookshelves.  Lolli decided that her legs made a nice pillow for a nap!  Abbi and Susanna were the only ones brave enough to try to go sledding on the ice but they had a lot of fun!

9 Poems

  May 29, 2021 Abigail DeLong I wrote nine poems about our pets. Here they are: Poem #1 Lolli and Cupcake were not friends when Lolli had her kittens. I was so happy, I sang a song while I jumped on the trampoline with Karlie and Susanna Delong. Lolli had her kittens, four, But suddenly, she had one more! Lolli has five kittens; they are so cute! They make me want to jump around the house and play a little flute. I am so proud of Lolli. She reminds me of Karis and Karlie! THE END Poem #2 One of the kitten's names is Taffy. Sometimes, she is very snappy. She was the third kitten born, but she cannot blow on a horn. She is a calico kitten, but she hasn't any mittens. Lolli is very proud, because sometimes, Taffy is loud.
